Mom is 42!

 Happy birthday to me!

I'm another year older, and more importantly, still alive!  Chemo this week reminds me of all the great blessings I have to grow older for.

One of my favorite b-day gifts has been cabinet/drawer pull for the kitchen.

Fall Band Stuff

Kyle is just flourishing with bassoon this year.  Top band, 1st chair, and loving it!
Here's the first concert of the year, only a few weeks since school began.

I so love this band and Mrs. Cansler's talents in leading it.

Ryan is no in band, having chocsent he Frech Horn.  They are finally learning to make some sounds.  Here's Po's early days of his instrument.

We love our little songbirds and are excited to watch them grow.

Baby Blessing

One baby with another

How lovely it was to gather together and meet our newest niece on the day of her blessing.
I felt very privileged to be able to hold her for the majority of the meeting that followed.
We are all in love!
(I also felt smart that I remembered to wear my pearls for Evelyn Pearl's special day!)

First Day of SchoolL 4, 6, 8

I only have one boy in Elementary school this year!  How quickly time flies.

Ryan has moved up to middle school!

And, it's Kyle's last year until high school.  I am having a hard time believing it.

for now, I will just hope that they are all successful in whatever phase of life they might find themselves in.

The boys seem to be good for today, so I'm home to have some me time.

It's going to be a great year!

4-Wheeling with Gramps and Granna

This has been on my Dad's wishlist for awhile.  He's been wanting to take the boys out on the four-wheelers for quite a long time.  We weren't able to get them up to Utah, but the machines made it to Colorado.

I'm glad my dad made it happen!

Purgatory

What a lovely day to spend up in the cool air of the Colorado mountains!

The boys loved the sky coaster and the alpine slide.  It was another lovely day of activity!

Cattle Drive Coffee

After the hike in the sun at Mesa Verde, it was time from some food and drink.
I found this quaint dive and set up for our family to have the whole place for lunch.

It was a LOOOONG wait and several kids spilled drinks and Stephen was Mr. Clean.

The owner wanted a photo of our group for the website, and we took one without Bryan's family. When we realized the mistake we set. up for one more.

With food in our bellies and tired babies, it was time to head back to the casa.

Mesa Verde

The OG Boulter visited Mesa Verde during the infamous camping trip of 1999.  That's the one Auntie Deb sprained her ankle, rented a wheel chair, and the rain just wouldn't stop.  The access to the National Park was much different back then.  Or, my memory is failing.

We still got to visit and let our boys see another park, just from much further away that I remember. Thanks a lot, global warming.
