Evan Stuff

Evan lost a tooth!!!

He also has been quite interested in Pokemon cards.  I've had to counsel him on spending his money wisely.

P.S. Anytime I have to go to Walgreens, he hangs out in the toy aisle, but don't worry.  I don't plan on  leaving him there!

He will also go with me to Target if I let him find the dog and take a picture with it!

It's the little things, y'all.

Scout Day Camp

Ryan went to Scout Day Camp this year!  He had a good time and met some new people.

A funny story:
One of the items each day camper needed was a bucket in which to place their food, towels, and other daily supplies.  When I read the supply list, I happened to be eating a sandwich at Firehouse Subs and thought I'd buy an old pickle bucket to help firefighters.  I thought that these buckets would be washed out before being sold.  I thought wrong, dude.

Ryan's bucket and all his supplies reeked of pickles.  That bucket was the beast!  We tried dish soap, cleaning spray, comet, bleach, vinegar, lemon.....the pickle smell remained.

It's a good thing day camp was only a few days.

Maybe someday the smell will die.

At least it was Ryan, who has a great talent of seeing all things in a positive light!

Summer School

The summer school teacher (AKA MOM) did pretty well on planning for June.
We studied circuits and Spanish and the pH scale and math.

After that, it was pure summer.

Paul McCartney

Grandma and Grandpa came to town for a concert, and we went out to eat at Babe's.

Paul was great!

Father's Day

For Father's Day, the boys worked together to make their Dad breakfast in bed!

They took pictures together because Mom requires it.

Dad, proving why he's their favorite pal, played video games with them, dressed as a large-headed goat.

And, when rain spoiled the fire in the fire pit plans, he did the coolest thing ever:

Let them make s'mores over the fireplace.

Happy Father's Day, Stephen!  We all love you.

(And Happy Day to Grandpa and Gramps and all the guys out there who help these crazy boys become good young men.)

Dad's Work Parties

Dad had a couple of family work parties:
one at a coworker's home.  The boys loved the food and fun.

The other at a Rangers game.
Again, there was lots of food and fun.

1st Scout Camp

Kyle's first scout camp was outside of Hotsprings, Arkansas.
He did not like too many moments of camp, as it rained from the very beginning AND his tent was placed in a flood plain.  It was not fun to sleep in damp bedding and wear damp clothing for a week.  (And, OH, the smell when he returned!)

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

Sports

Evan moved up to level 8 in swimming!

Kyle moved up to Bronze team.

Ryan was the gymnast of the month.  (the photo is terrible.)
