Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween!!!
BOO!

AAAAAA!!! So scary!

Mel and Stephen in their costumes.
Who da nurse for Halloween?

Here's Baby Tigger:

Look at that tail!

Mel and Kyle went to the Trunk-or-Treat at the church while Stephen went to work. We had a pretty good time. It was fun watching all the other people in costumes. Kyle got passed around and was a really good sport. One young woman really liked his head and kept rubbing it for luck. She said it was perfectly round and smooth. She also liked his eyes and said they looked almost metallic. Kyle entered the costume contest, but got too tired and hungry and over-stimulated to stay for the judging. We left early and didn't get any candy. Oh, well. There's always next year!

After the Trunk-or-Treat, we actually went to one house for Kyle's first Trick-or-Treating experience: Grama Sue's. He was really tired when we first got there....too tired to ask for any candy. So, Grama Sue just sat and rocked him.
Soon, he woke up and started telling Grama Sue all about his first Halloween experience. There must have been something really good because he started laughing and laughing...

I love Halloween!!!

Dave & Buster's

We took a quick, weekend trip to Houston. It all started because we wanted to go to the A&M game. Then, we were able to squeeze in a lot more fun things. When we first arrived, the boys wanted to have a field trip to one of their favorite spots: Dave & Buster's. They have all kinds of video games and fun stuff. So, we all decided to go. Even the girls got in on the fun. We're not serious gamers, so we kept busy just playing Skee-Ball and this Colorama game, which is basically a flashy-psycho version of roulette. We had a good time.

Uncle Bando...I picked up something for ya...

Okay. It's time to get serious...My mom has spent MANY hours keeping her blog updated in order to let everyone see what I'm doing and how I'm growing and all the funny and cute things I do. If she doesn't add a new post at least on the weekends, there's hell to pay.

After doing all this work on her own, she would like to have some blogs to check out and read. So, she brings up an idea that other people in the family should set up a blog and add pictures and comments to keep the family updated. Being in Midland, we don't always hear what everyone ELSE is up to. For instance, we had to take a trip up to Utah to see my Uncle Brandon's and Uncle Bryan's girlfriends....that kind of information could have been posted on a blog. Also, my Uncle Hubba is currently at the greatest university EVER...so I've been told. He could use his blog to further brain wash.....rather.... PASS ON his love for Aggie Traditions. I have a feeling this next year is going to one of great change in my family. It would just be nice to put this information on a blog. Anyway, after bringing up this GREAT idea, my mom was met with a bit of resistance. I really would like to have some pictures to keep up with YOU GUYS, too. Don't you want me to recognize you??? Anyway, Uncle Bando, I picked up a little something for ya. That's right, I found it in my car seat, and I've been keeping it up my sleeve......Let me pull it out for ya....

You think I'm playing about this blog stuff?

Look at this face...Does it look like I'm playing???

I expect to be kept updated on what's going on with you. Don't make me get tough. Let's not take it to that level!

HEY! YA! POOCHIE!!!

Today when I picked Kyle up from day care, his teachers said he looked like he was about to go to karate in his outfit. One teacher said, "He needs to JUDO CHOP all the criers and screamers to stop them from waking him up!" (He's really the only calm one at the day care. He needs to clean house before he leaves to go to another babysitter!) So, here he is, performing his latest karate moves.

Now for some cuteness:

Okay, after looking so cute it's time for a little snack. Maybe I should take a break and eat my hands.

OOPS....I missed! Let's try that again!!!

That's better! Just the way I like it.

Mister Man, do you wanna eat your hands?

OOO...pick me!! Pick me! OOO....OOO...OOO
I know! I know the answer!!!!!!

The answer is...YES!
I do want to eat my hands.

First, the left one.......

Then, the right one......

When that isn't enough.....

I'm so silly!!!

So, Kyle had to make another trip to the doctor for Exorcist Baby throw-up. The daycare won't take him if he's throwing up, so Mel had to take Friday off from work. Who knows if she'll ever complete a full week of work. Maybe taking every Friday off will be a new trend. Anyway...at the doctor, we pretty much found out that Kyle didn't have a fever, wasn't feeling sick...in fact, he was laughing and smiling at the doctor. Basically, he is just a kid that needs to slow down when he's eating so he doesn't throw it back up. He's gaining weight well...12.2 pounds, so the doctor's not too concerned about the vomit. Later when talking with the Grandparents, we found out that Stephen did this when he was a baby. Maybe it's just genetic.

That reminds me...I haven't written the Mexican story yet. Before we left for Utah, I went up to the school to sign my absence from duty form and took Kyle with me. The clerk was at the desk and loved seeing Kyle. She commented how cute he is and also said, "he's long. He's going to be tall!" I replied, "probably not." She questioned, "why do you say that?" "Well," I replied, "Stephen's only 5'9", and I'm not very tall." She went on to say, "5'9.? That's tall for a Mexican! Kyle should be tall, then." And, then it all became clear....she was basing her ideas of Kyle being tall on Mexican Logic. Anyone else fail to see the clarity behind her argument?

Anyway, back to his stats....he's 12.2 pounds, which puts him in the 25th percentile. As for height....we didn't measure him this time, but from October 3rd, he was only in the 15th percentile. So, he may or may not be tall for a WHITE kid, but as for a MEXICAN.....

3 Months Old

Hello, everyone! Guess who's 3 months old??? That's right...Me, Kyle! I'm cute....buy me something! We can celebrate this day and make it special. So, when are you going to see me again? I'm growing up so fast, you'll hardly recognize me. If you don't believe me...look back in August when I was only 4 weeks old. Boy, did I look younger! Here's some more photos of me, growing up:

The Last Supper in Utah

Here it is, our last night in Utah. We picked a perfect way to spend our time....a big dinner at the Macaroni Grill! Not only was the food great, but we were able to BE CREATIVE...(even some of the rest of us. ) I'm sure we'll never reach the same level as Matt and Jules, but a little of that right-brain stuff came out with crayons and a little white-paper tablecloth.

Brandon, Kyle, Tracie, Grandpa and Granna

So long, Utah! We knew the fun had to end at some point. Here we are going through security at the SLC airport. Kyle did very well again. He had a little meltdown on the last flight of the day. It was a combination of being crammed into that little Eagle and being hungry and his water for his bottle being too cold. Once we got some food in him, he flew like a champ.

Caught ya, red-handed!

This kid could get away with murder. Just look at that face....

However, there's a little mischief lurking in those eyes....maybe he IS guilty of something...

Kyle Cooper...we know it was you. We have you surrounded. Come out with your hands up!!!
You have the right to remain silent....as if you could say anything...

The Great Cornholio!!!

Are you threatening me???
I am the Great Cornholio!!!

Here's the little Beavis, all dressed up like the Great Cornholio. I'm sure some of you don't have a clue what I'm talking about....sorry.

Anyway, we were getting Kyle ready for bed and he kept moving and not letting me pull his onesie down. So, I took some pictures because he looked so cute.

Sunday Family Time

On Sunday, we got to sleep in and relax in the morning because church didn't start until 2:00. It was nice to not have to rush to get up and ready. Stephen had a migraine all night, so he slept until it was time to go to church. The rest of us played with Kyle. Granna got to show off her "good news" to all the ladies at church. (That was probably a big reason to go.)

Here's some cute pictures of Kyle in his Sunday Best:

After church, we came straight home and had a GREAT dinner, made by Grandpa Boulter. We had a nice, juicy roast, (Grandpa wanted to put some of the meat drippings in Kyle's bottle so he could participate in the dinner, too!) salad, roasted potatoes, and STUFFED MUSHROOMS. Thank goodness Stephen doesn't like them so I can have his rationed amount. It was nice to have a family dinner with everyone. Matt and Jules, the "creative ones," were pretty tired after their all-night Insomnia Film contest, but they still managed to show up...ALMOST on time. They had 24 hours on Saturday to make a 3 minute film. It was quite a sight to see so much creativity occurring right before our eyes!!!

After dinner, we invited extended family and friends over for dessert and to meet Kyle. Everyone showed up and had a nice time, even though Kyle was REALLY fussy....for him. I guess he hasn't heard that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. I think he was off schedule, due to the late church, and wasn't used too all those people being around. The only picture we could get was one with Grandma Bobbie. Kyle was pretty fussy for the rest of the evening.

Once everyone left, a few of us hung around and talked and laughed. Kyle finally got back to his normal, calm self...he got to swing. We had a great time just hanging out as a family...and Nicole.
Here's a picture of the fun times:
