Gymnastics

Ryan decided to trade soccer for gymnastics.  He loves it, and is improving every practice.  Here's an idea of what he's working on:















And, he FINALLY figured out that he had to use his feet to help him climb the rope and ring the bell!

Midland Book Signing

Barnes & Noble in Midland was kind enough to host a book signing while I was there.  

It was so great seeing dear friends and making new ones!

Pink the Basin

I had the amazing opportunity to attend Pink the Basin, in Midland, this year.  

I LOVE that the local paper prints in pink on the day! (My book signing made the front page!)

We heard Samantha Harris share her story.  My favorite part was something her husband told her: "We gotta make lemonade," meaning that even though cancer sucks, it was important to make the best of every day.  

We stayed to meet Samantha and get a t-shirt from her non-profit, "Gotta Make Lemonade."

I loved this event and hope to attend in the future!

Surviving and Thriving Luncheon

I put some pink in my hair for October.

I loved attending the Surviving & Thriving luncheon with some of my local survivors.  We heard Amy Robach share her story.  My favorite part was her husband reminding her, "Don't die before you die," meaning to never stop living, no matter what you're going through.
