Leap Day

 It's not only an extra day in February this year.  It's also Silly Sock day at Kyle's school!  Stephen and I decided that these things are made more for girls, since there a MUCH bigger selection of silly socks out there in female colors/patterns, but we were able to find some nice, fuzzy socks for Kyle in his "favorite color." 

Monday was Crazy Hat day.  Since I dropped the ball and totally forgot, I didn't take a picture until this morning.  {Stephen dropped Kyle off at school and saw all the other kids with crazy hats on.  Kyle didn't have one and was pretty down about it.  We drove to the nearest Dollar Tree and found this little gem.}  Don't mind ye ol' poop scoop in this photo.  He was having a rough morning.  

All the boys got to join in the fun of silly sock day.  Ryan wore moose socks.

Rodeo Day

In honor of the big Houston Rodeo, Kyle's school had a rodeo day last week.  Kyle got to wear his cowboy stuff--minus the guns and Tickle Monster gloves, which he so wanted to wear.  The disappointment over an incomplete ensemble quickly dissolved when he remembered that he would get to ride ponies outside AND get to ride on a train.  Who needs Tickle Monster gloves when you have all that? 

Best Half-Birthday EVER!

 It's a VERY MERRY un-birthday to me, one that will NEVER be topped.  We bought a house!

Another Week Older

I've lost track of how many weeks ago it was that we held this new baby in our arms for the first time, but that's understandable when we keep having weeks like the last two.  Stephen and I are having trouble sleeping--not because of kids keeping us up--but over STRESS.  Our car is totaled, we are fighting back and forth with insurance companies who still haven't resolved liability, we've been house shopping, and put an offer on a house yesterday.  Maybe, just maybe, we'll hear good news back from them and some of our stress of the unknown will decrease.

Oh, to be this young, happy, and stress-free....

Hop on Pop

 Since Pop wasn't around, he decided to Hop on Kyle!
