My cousin got married outside of Austin, and Aunt Terri was kind enough to let us stay AND watch the boys. Some of her grandkids came over, too, and the boys love playing with them. We got to town and I went to the rehearsal dinner. The boys stayed at Terri's. They were disappointed that it was cool and rainy, though, because they were really excited to swim.
Dani and Kyle switched iPads and played on each other's Minecraft games.

The kids were up REALLY late and all up at 5:00 a.m.!!!! I had planned to get up early to go running, but the kids beat me to it!
We did get ready and go to brunch. It was fun getting to see so much family and to meet some new people. There were peacocks running everywhere. We tried to take a picture, but they ran away from these 3 boys.

Jules flew into town to play/sing, and I loved getting to spend time with her. After the brunch, we drove the boys back to Terri's house. She got to finally see their place, and the boys got to rest {and swim.} Terri was nice to watch them so we could go back and help set up/decorate for the reception and so Jules could practice.
Jules was part of the wedding and had a scheduled makeup session. I went to hang out, and the make artist did a double take. She thought we were twins!!! Of all my siblings, I've NEVER heard that about Jules and me, but she makes a living looking at faces and bone structure. She must know what she's talking about.
There was a little stress before the wedding. 1} I lost my phone. That was a problem because there was no cell reception at the ranch, so I couldn't call it to locate it. Thankfully, it had just fallen under the bed. 2} the keyboard Jules was supposed to play was set up without the power cord, and we couldn't find the case! We couldn't even figure out who set it up to ask them. There was also no music stand, which would make playing and reading music difficult. At the last minute, right before we were able to go up to the Barn and steal a cord from the reception's band, someone found the missing cord! I also was able to just sit by Julianna and hold/turn her music. It's a good thing because the wind picked up. All she needed was for the music to fall off in the middle of the bride walking in!!!
We had a fun time at the reception. One of the coolest things was the Airstream Photobooth. So cool!!!!
The reception was beautiful, and the couple seems very happy.
It was another late night. We FINALLY send the couple off at 11:30 and started to clean up. {Side note: one of their friends started chatting with Jules and me after the send-off. "Hey, ladies!!! What's your story? Are you 2 here as a couple??" Me: "Yeah, a couple of sisters." I guess since we were sitting by each other during the ceremony and reception, it could be interpreted that we were there "together." So funny!!!! Jules and I were both Twins and a couple that night!!!!
The next morning, the alarm in my room went off at 5:00 a.m.....AGAIN! No sleep all weekend. We got up and packed and went to another brunch. We got closer to a peacock this time.
The boys ran around in the trees and hills and hung out in the hammock.
I'm glad we were able to help clean up and pack away from the reception. It was nice spending time and catching up!
This was a nice weekend trip, even without any sleep!
