Blue & Gold Banquet

For our Blue & Gold Banquet, it's a tradition for each cub scout to make and decorate a cake.  The them for the year was "out of this world," so Kyle used frosting and sprinkles to make this outer space cake.

He was also assigned to give a space themed joke for entertainment.

I can't believe how much Kyle is growing up, and that this will be his last few months as a cub scout!

Scallywag

We love Torchy's Scallywag, the taco of the month for February.  We had also convinced others of its deliciousness.  At a girls' lunch, Lacy and I enjoyed one before the month was over, and the taco is gone for another year.

Tri-Party Day

All three boys had birthday parties to attend on Saturdays.  Different parties.  At different places!

I wasn't able to stay at any of the parties very long--and didn't even go to Kyle's, but they were all a lot like this:

There was bouncing, flipping, climbing, nerf gunning, chasing, playing, and all other things that active kids love.

It was a fun, exhausting day!

Big Soccer Day!

For most of last semester, we weren't sure if soccer was going to be Kyle's thing.  He could run fast, but didn't always choose to run fast.  He wasn't very aggressive, so we didn't know if he knew how and just wasn't doing it.  He also had been stuck in this limbo of wanting to be goalie, but being third in line on his team and not invited to goalie trainings.

This spring, he's turned a corner.  He's been playing more aggressively and improving overall.  Then, when one of the goalies decided he didn't want the job anymore, the coach asked if Kyle would.  He stepped in during a tournament and was scored on 3 times.  It kind of turned him off to the whole thing, especially since he was finally finding his way in the field.  (That same game, he almost scored twice!)

Fast forward to the next week's game.  This time it was in Houston.  KYLE SCORED A GOAL and almost got another one!  He was so excited, and I think he just might like this!

BTHO Breast Cancer Game

Evan and Ryan got to attend this year's BTHO breast cancer basketball game.  It's crazy to think that one year ago, I was the honorary coach, barely able to walk or stay awake, and now I'm back in remission!  Great stuff.

Many of my Pink Alliance sisters were in attendance.

Dr. Fleener handed out the game ball.

Breast cancer survivors were honored during halftime.

The Aggies won!!! I especially loved that Reed Arena had pink lights all around the outside of the building, just for the event.

Flashback Friday

Here's Stephen, helping at Bando's Eagle project, playing around with some of the lovely clothing from the clothing drive!

Galentines

Last year's Valentine's Day was spent with some of the best gals around.

This year, it just so happened that most of us were able to get together again this year!  It was under much better health for me and more of a celebration than a sadness.

We hope to make this a V-day tradition.  We need Emily next time!

Ronin Valentine's Dinner

Stephen and I don't often go out on actual Valentine's Day.  We're not one for the crowds.  This year, however, my favorite, favorite place in BCS was putting on a special V-day dinner, so Stephen made it happen.  It was the perfect gift: great food, great friends, and my forever.

It did no disappoint, as always.  Happy Valentine's Day to my love.

Valentine's Parties

The 14th was a busy day!  All three boys had parties at school, and two of them required parent help. It had been quite cold outside leading up to this day, but on Valentine's Day, the weather decided to turn warm.  I was prepared for chilly weather and ended up sweating to death in the warm school, working with Kinder and 2nd on ice cream sundaes and crafting.

But, the boys were so happy I could be there with them, so it was all worth it!

Ryan ended up being student of the day, which meant he got to hang out in the teepee.  Perfect, if you ask me!

The 4th graders were much more chill on their "parties."  They just exchanged cards and candies and opened them.  Kyle was happiest to be checked out early from school!

How fun it was to spend the day of love with 3 of my favorite boys!

And, here are 2 of the sweet gifts they made for me!

BTHO Kentucky

Stephen had a great time at the A&M vs. Kentucky basketball game on Saturday!  And, we won!!!!

Ryan's Stuff

Ryan's been busy.  Between school, gymnastics, Imagineers Club (Art), and playing with friends, he's also picked up the game of Yoshi's Island.  Since we've recently taught the boys the history of Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan, along with Nancy's reaction to being attacked--(in honor of the winter olympics)--the boys have taken upon them to bust out with.."WHYYYYYY.....WHHHHYYYYYY?" every now and then.  Here's an example of Ryan using it after he died on his video game.

And, in case he goes to the Olympics someday and needs some footage for his bio....here's more gymnastics practice....

Busy Primary Days

The Coopers were all over Primary.
Kyle gave a talk about how God created the earth for our use.  He talked about how incredible it is that all the animals and plants and organisms work together and the earth is a place for us to learn and grow.
Evan said the 1st Article of Faith.
Ryan had the prayer.

They are growing up!

100th Day of School

Ryan dressed up as a 100-year-old.

Evan enjoyed many exciting events!

Here's his drawing of himself now and when he's 100 years old:

It was a good day!

Moon

Full Moon, Blood Moon, Blue Moon....it was so bright!
