Stephen's Birthday

Stephen is another year older.  I was pretty proud of myself for doing a good job of celebrating and extending his birthday beyond just one day.  We opened presents and went out to eat as a family on his day, and he actually gave me ideas of what he wanted---a waterproof iPod and cologne.  He got some iTunes cards, movie gift cards, goggles, dinner gift card, passion fruit smoothie, and more cologne from family.  I also surprised him with Aggie baseball tickets, but the game got rained out.  We waited and waited for the game, having gone early to get good seats.  It was postponed until the next day, so we had game day take 2!

We saw FIVE trains!!!!!

The Sunday after his birthday, we celebrated with a family dinner.  Stephen requested paella and Delicious Chocolate Cake.

And, HOT DOODLES!!!!

We also got to celebrate, just the 2 of us, by going to Pappadeaux!  Not a bad birthday, if you ask me!

Iron Chef: College Station

The same week of Ryan's birthday party, birthday, and birthday treats at school, I was crazy enough to host Iron Chef at my house!  The secret ingredient was eggs, and we had some yummy food:

Here are the winners!

Birthday Boy

Our little birthday boy had even more presents to open at home.  He loved everything, especially the guitar!

The next day, we made some treats to take to school.

I got to go up and celebrate with Ryan and his class.

He felt so special!

He loved having his teachers and class sing to him.

He has been making up songs and practicing his guitar almost everyday!

I'm glad Ryan had a great birthday week!

Mickey Party at Double Dave's

Ryan knew exactly what he wanted to do for his birthday.  "I want a Mickey party, I want to eat at Double Dave's, and I want a chocolate cake with strawberries and blueberries on it."

EASY!!!!

We invited some family to join us at the buffet night at this fun pizza place, and had a great time.  Here's some of the craziness!

Cake time!!!!!

"Dayton, do you love cake?"

Present time!

The workers were the best!  They wore Mickey hats with us and agreed to take a picture with the birthday boy.  (And, they requested a copy of the photo to hang in the kitchen!)

I'm thankful for our 5 year old!
