When we were in Utah, my sister and I got the chance to do a little organizing and decorating for my mom. The main project was her downstairs closet and turning it into a gift closet.
Here is the before:
And, the after:
One of my favorite changes was transforming the old, ugly piece of "wood" that covered the old sewing machine hole in the desk. Em happened to have the perfect piece of scrap fabric in her stack of stuff!
My other favorite change was putting up a simple tension rod against the back wall to hold all the wrapping paper.
We separated the tissue paper, ribbons, and bags into drawers.
Finally, we organized all the gifts, with plenty of space to put more stuff. I'm hoping my mom will get lots of use out of her new gift-wrapping center.
