Young Women Father's Day

The Young Women value for the month is Good Works, so we decided to do something nice for Bishop Tyler, the "father of our ward."



We all got together and made this cute candy bar poster. (Tiffany and Elisa didn't want their pictures taken, but still wanted proof that they were there, letting their 'light so shine before men that they may see [their] good works.') It was nice to be able to do something to celebrate Father's Day a little early and show our appreciation for all the Bishop does for our ward. (We made a big deal of presenting the card to him, singing "Happy Father's Day to you. Happy Father's Day to you. Happy Father's Day, dear Bishop, Happy Father's Day to you!") What fun!


Here's what the card says, in case anyone wants to steal this awesome idea!

Dear Bishop,
The Young Women would like to thank the Father of our ward for being a "Whopper" of a "Lifesaver." Don't "Snicker," but we think our ward totally "Skor"-ed when we got you! You are "Extra" special to each of us. Thank you for being such a "Sweetart" and always teaching us to keep the commandments and to "nut" (peanuts) be an "airhead" so that we can have "Mounds" of "Joy." (cross out the Almond) You and your counselors are like the "3 Musketeers," making sure our ward is not a "dud" (Milk Duds) or "corny" (popcorn) but stays strong in the gospel at "Crunch" time. Even though you don't ever get a "Payday," be-"Twix" you and us, you're worth "100 grand!" Hugs and "kisses,"

(We were going to put in at the beginning....The YW would like to "Take 5" to thank the "Dad" (cross our Sugar and dy of Sugar Daddy).....and....keep the commandments "Now & Later"....but couldn't find those candies.) I think it turned out pretty well even with the changes!!!!
