Baby Shower Invite

Emmy had a baby shower.  I couldn't attend.  

However, I was able to help by making the invites.  I'm actually pretty pleased with my creation!

I'm saving my flight this time for after the baby is born.  

 

Po Plays Piano

 Ryan has been interested in lots of different instruments over his life.  He did quite well with the recorder in 4th grade.  He wanted to learn to play guitar and piano, but we had a hard time finding teachers and having time to fit it between his gymnastics practices.  

Now that he's working on the French Horn in band, which is an actual class in school, and he's starting to pick up on piano on his own.  Working with music theory and learning the basics in band, Ryan made the connection between musical scales on his horn and the keys on the piano.  He has done a combo of play by ear and transferring the notes of music he's playing in band to our piano at home.  

New Bassoon

According to Kyle, the bassoon at the middle school was crap.  

Thanks to some help from his grandparents, we were able to purchase him his own,  nicer version.  

I really hope he sticks with it.  

New Cancer Docs

The hardest part for me about the move is having to deal with doctors in two states.  Stephen went with me to the first doctor in Lubbock.  

After a bunch of bananas over me having to prove that my port in actually a Power Port, we were on the same team at the cancer clinic in Lovington. 

And, they gave me a new wig and my new ring wrap got back to me.  

So far, so good.  

 

2nd 1st Day of School

After some Christmas break fun, it was back to school.  They are not too excited about it.
