Spring Band Recital

Kyle has done an amazing job with the bassoon this school year!  He even worked hard enough to not only make the top band this year, but to make tryouts for 1st chair bassoon for the top band next year.  We are so proud of his hard work.

Regionals in OKC

While Stephen and I were in Phoenix, Kyle hung at a friend's house and Ryan and Even took an overnight trip to Oklahoma City.

Ryan had a good showing at his first out-of-state meet, the Regionals!  This is the highest level in which he can compete at his current level.

Here's how he did.  Great, but not perfect.

His team got 3rd overall.  6th place floor, 4th on highball.  Ryan got 10th overall.  We are so proud and glad he had a great time!

Arizona Wedding + Cooper Family Stuff

Stephen's cousin got married!
We flew to Phoenix to be a part of the celebrations.

Stephen's uncle (Dad's side) lived right around the corner.  Both side of the family in one trip!!!

This weekend also happened to be the "point in time that inherently contains some sort of cosmic significance, almost as if it were the junction point for the entire space-time continuum. On the other hand, it could just be an amazing coincidence."  You see, Ryan made it to Regionals for gymnastics.  That weekend.  Kyle also had a swim meet.  That weekend.

Thankfully, Auntie Deb was able to extend her babysitting duties to also travel leader.  It was a great and crazy weekend, but we all came through!

Girls' Weekend

My OG Pink Warriors got together and set up a weekend getaway in downtown Dallas, Hotel Anatole.   The hotel we chose had an amazing pool activity area, but, as lunch would have it, it rained all weekend.  That's okay, we made up for the weather with a trip to the JFK museum and some lovely restaurants.   It was a much needed  surprise!

I am so grateful for these ladies and for all the others who couldn't be here, who sent their love in amazing gifts!

We Have a 44-Year-Old

The eldest is 44, and he didn't really want much for his big day.  He did request a German Chocolate cake, which I made for the first time, and I must say.......it was a winner!!!!!!

Happy birthday, old man.  We love you forever.

Emmy Here

I'm so grateful for my baby sister!!!
She took time out of her busy schedule of work and home life to save me from myself.
She saved Ryan's birthday party and helped me with my new cancer prognosis.
plus, she FINALLY came out and got to try the SCALYWAG!!!

I loved spending time and laughing and working with my kid sister.  She is amazing.

We also got to make some plans for her kitchen reno, and she took some of my ideas.
I'm still waiting for the logo for my design firm: "Eye for Design!!!"
Love this lady.

Ryan's Talent Show

This year, due to Covid, takent show entries had to be recorded.  That worked out well for Po.

Po is Eleven!

Our little Pollito is the big 11 this year.  It's hard to believe that so much time has passed in his young life.  Soon, Ryan will be moving up to Middle School!!!!  He still loves gymnastics and playing with friends.  Ryan is a great older brother to Evan and is a wonderful student and friend.  I am so proud of the young man he is growing into.

Po helped design and organize his birthday party this year, with an avocado theme.  He did a great job of directing his friends and making sure everyone was having a great time.  He's becoming a little chip off the old momma.

On the big day, Aunt Emmy and I were able to have a special b-day lunch at school.  [It almost didn't happen because I forgot with Covid, guests are supposed to be limited to parents only.  Thankfully, we were able to meet in the office conference room and make it happen.  It helps to be nice to people!]

That night, we ate at our favorite hibachi place!

We cracked up that Ryan got THREE of the same sets of pajamas from THREE different people!

Ryan and Dad got matching shirts!

The party was perfect!

Po's BFF extended the party and slept over.  They started the fun with sucking in some helium and putting

on a quick show:

I think we more than made up for having to miss a party in 2020!

Happy b-day to our little Po!
