Exciting things for ME

I was able to get my 1st covid vaccine earlier than expected, thanks to a friend who learned early on about the possible extra doses near the end of the day.  If no one was called to claim them, they had to be wasted? We wasted no time in claiming them.

Our family got a shoutout at a vaccination site at his old work place, which was nice.

The second vaccine closed that chapter, and I was able to have a bit less thought about this Wuhan.

One of my former teacher colleagues set up a Zoom reunion.  It was lovely to see where many of the Pioneer Pup leaders are, after all these years.

January of this new year was pretty annoying, politically, with lots of hate and arguments and divisive words and actions, but our family was able to work on looking forward to being out of 2020.

Kyle is 13 1/2!

We've had a teenager for quite some time.  Kyle is now closer to being 14 than 13!

At church, he is looking forward to being sustained to move up to the office of Teacher in the priesthood this Sunday.  That's another big step, as he doesn't have to wait until his actual birthday, simply the year in which he turns 14, and having a passing passed his interview with the Bishop, he is ready to go.

As parents, we are so proud of Kyle and the young man he is becoming.  He is succeeding in school, with band, and in his swimming.  He doesn't like to have to work hard to succeed.  His personality leans toward having things come easy and not liking to work hard on improvements.  But, he does.

This week, he is registering for his 8th grade classes, and is already going to be completing a few college courses!  It will be interesting to see where this boy goes in the coming years!

We love our little poop scoop.

January Gymnastics Meet: Beach Blast

Ryan's meet schedule is on!  We are so happy, since he missed the majority of it last year, due to covid restrictions.

We are so proud of his hard work and positivity.

Last season, Ryan's favorite apparatus was vault.  Now, he loves the floor best!

Branson

After Christmas, Steve and Timee wanted to take the grandkids to Branson.  I wasn't able to go, due to chemo, and Stephen had to work.  Our boys still went on the trip without us.
Seeing the Noah play, as well as a few other lovely things the town has to offer, the boys came home full of fun and wanting to go back with us one day.

2021 Goals

This year, the boys were challenged by their church groups to make goals in four areas, which relate to how our Savior grew and improved in his earthly life.  Spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual sections made our yearly goals a little easier to create and organize.

Stephen and I are slowly working on paying down debt and keeping up with the update of an un-new home.  May we all be able to chip away and keep working on goals this year.
