Aggie Baseball

I LOVE going to A&M baseball games.  I love them even more than football.  You are close, it's not too hot, the kids can run and play at the playground and roll down the grassy hills, and it's cheap!!!

We went to the opening game on a Friday night, and it. was. packed!!!!!  Thankfully, I'd brought blankets, and we popped down on the grass and had a great view.

The boys got to run down on the field with the players for the National Anthem.

We've also been to a few more games already this season.  For this one, we had AMAZING SEATS, thanks to one of Stephen's coworkers!!

Gig 'em, Aggies!

Blue & Gold Banquet

February's Pack Meeting was the Blue & Gold Banquet.  Kyle's den was in charge of the flag ceremony.

In honor of the summer Olympics, each scout was given a sport.  Along with their dads, they were responsible for creating a centerpiece highlighting that sport.  Kyle and Stephen built this model of shooting, using Legos, of course!

I'm learning more and more of how to be a Scout mom.  Good thing, since I've got a few more boys coming into the program in a few years!!!

Spring Soccer

Kyle and Ryan have both started up in soccer again.  Their games are often scheduled at the same time, so Stephen and I have to take turns as spectators, alternating between the two.

Evan mostly just plays.  On one day, he decided to climb the fence behind us, and I was looking all around the field before finally just turning around!
Meow, Meow!!!!

Valentine's Day

This year we had THREE classes worth of V-day cards to make.  The boys were a big help.  We did Star Wars cards for everyone, and added popcorn and chocolate.

Evan LOVED being  a big boy this year!

Ryan had a great time with his Kindergarten class!  Evan got to tag along.

They are both licking the frosting knife at the same time!!!

Kyle's class had an each ice cream sundae party.

The biggest hit were these valentines that self-inflated and blew up with you stomped on them!
Evan got to tag along to ANOTHER party!!!

Then, we all went to pick up with big Valentine!

I was WORN OUT by the end of the day!!!

Valentine's Day was on Sunday, and we all tried to look festive.

It was a great week of celebrating love.

Closet

This is Evan's new favorite hiding spot.  He loves to hang out in here and play on the iPad.

Aggie Basketball

One thing I love about the elementary schools in College Station is the involvement with A&M.  This year, we were all able to attend a basketball game with free tickets for reading.  Kyle went above and beyond and read almost 2,000 pages!  He was excited to get to go to the game.

Ryan and Evan just wanted the snacks, but had fun yelling for our Aggies!

A Night Vacay

Granna came to town for a quick visit last week.  We loved having her here and wish it could have been longer.  However, we will take whatever time we can get, especially when there is an overnight vacation for Mom and Dad involved!!!

As part of her Christmas present to us, my Mom stayed with the boys while Stephen and I went to Houston for a fun night away.  We did some shopping, ate at McCormick and Schmick's, and stayed in a nice hotel.

WE SLEPT FOR 10 HOURS!!!!! (I always feel like I never get enough sleep, and I woke up ON MY OWN, fully-rested.  It was an amazing feeling.

After breakfast, we braved the Houston morning traffic and went to the Houston LDS Temple.  We had not been in awhile, and it was a nice way to spend the morning together.  After that calming session, we had a great lunch at Pappadeaux's and headed back.

These little treasured vacations are definitely something to look forward to!!!

100th Day of School

For the 100th Day of School, all of the 2nd graders were invited to dress like 100 year-olds.  Here's Old Man Kyle, ready for the day:

Here are a few of his classmates who also dressed for the occasion.
