Halloween Night
Finally, Halloween night came, and we were ready to go trick-or-treating.
Rise of the Guardians:
Trick-or-Treat!!!!
There were MANY more kids in our neighborhood this year!!
We didn't even go to every house in our section, and the boys' buckets were FULL! In less than an hour, they were ready to go home. WIN!!!!
Another great Halloween in the books. We are already talking about our costumes for next year!!!

Trunk-or-Treat
Rise of the Guardians: Jack Frost, Sandman, Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and Tooth Fairy:
Because of rainy, stormy weather---even a tornado!!!---Trunk or Treat was pulled inside this year. We set up on tables around the gym and let the kids walk around to collect their candy.
After one time around the circle, the boys had enough and started to go through their loot:

The dads handed out candy.
Finally, cousins joined us!
We love Halloween!!!
Pumpkins!
One of the must-do traditions at Halloween is carving pumpkins. This year, we carved one and had the boys paint and decorate their own. It was a success!
Dad did the carving. Kyle wanted a face with jagged, sharp teeth.

Stem night
The boys' school had a STEM night earlier this month. It had been a busy, busy day, but I promised Kyle we would go because we didn't go last year.
I'm actually really glad I kept my promise because I was impressed with the whole night.
I didn't get many pictures of all the experiments we did, but the school was full of A&M students leading the kids in all things science and math. The boys were busy having fun, but insisted on pictures with the animals.

It was a long day, but we were all happy!

Pink the Basin
Back on October 8th, we participated in "Pink the Basin," which encourages local businesses to donate a portion of their proceeds to Pink Alliance, our local breast cancer organization. If you wore pink to a restaurant, part of your bill was donated. I forced the boys to all wear pink ties, and we went to dinner. I think it was a success!

Grama Sue
Grama Sue was able to come down to visit us for 2 weeks this month! While she was here, we took a walk through a local park...

We got Halloween decorations us....Mr. Bones came out of storage!
We played hopscotch at the park.....

....and much, much more! It was so much fun to have her here!

Friend
It sure was fun getting to see one of my Cypress peeps before getting into the real tough chemo stuff! Ashley came down to bring me lunch and let the younger kids play together. Loved it!!! Miss my friends and neighbors from down there, so it's a great treat to get together.

Farm Patch
We made a trip to pick out some pumpkins at our local farmer's market. They have an adorable little pumpkin patch set up.
The boys loved the maze and the animals the best!
The boys all picked pumpkins off this little house.

Then, they each got to pick some fresh fruit for an after school snack. What a fun way to spend an afternoon!
