Cub Scouts

Kyle has started Cub Scouts!  He is really excited about it, too.  He has already earned several things, but unfortunately his first pack meeting was a bust.

He does have fun on Tuesday nights, though.  Here's what they did last week:  repurposing recyclable materials.

Hopefully at the next pack meeting, Kyle's hard work will actually catch up with his badges.

Aggie Game

I must be crazy, but I decided to take all 3 boys to the Aggie football game last Saturday, by myself, while Stephen was on call.  It was Evan's first game, and he was excited.....they all were, but mostly for snowcones.

The new Kyle Field is incredible.

It.  Was.  HOT!!!!!!!  Like, insanity hot, especially for a crazy, chemo-taking woman with 3 boys.  But, we got strawberry chills, which lasted for about 7 minutes.

We made it through the 1st quarter in our seats.  Then, we spent most of the 2nd quarter in the shade, eating snacks and snowcones.

Then, we went back out for the band.  Ryan and Evan LOVED that; they marched the whole time.  (Just look at the sweat in their hair!)

We left after that---hot, sweaty, sticky, dirty, and tired.  I'm surprised we made it back out to the car, but we got home, showered, and took a long nap.

I'm glad we were playing a game that was easily won and that the boys had fun just going for the snowcones!  I'm sure they'll appreciate the chance to go to the games a little more as they get older!

Boys at the Lake

Back in the beginning of the summer when Stephen had surgery, I had emergency surgery, and then my "back went out," Auntie Deb, Uncle Mark, and Aunt Terri took the boys to the lake house.  It was a long drive, but they had such a great time!

There was lots of tubing, jet skiing, playing with dogs, jumping of the docks, and fun times!

Stephen and I drove to pick them up.  I'm so glad that I was finally able to see the house, too!

What a fun time the boys had, and they can't wait to go back!
